Q: How do I ship my personal wine collection into Nebraska when moving?
A: Transportation of liquor (beer, wine, spirits) into the State of Nebraska for personal use of the possessor, his or her family or guests twenty-one years of age. The maximum quantity is nine liters per month. The nine liter limit is the total of all three categories(beer, spirits or wine). Example: If you cause to bring a case of wine (12 bottles, size 750ml) that is your maximum allowance which equals nine liters. There are no requirements of paper work or any filing with the Nebraska Liquor Control Commission. There is no state excise tax assessed on the nine liters. Please be advised that there are no windows open to cause or bring in more than the maximum by paying the additional tax. Q: Who is allowed to sell growlers?
A: Growlers are only allowed to be sold by brewpubs. This is allowed by TTB provided there is a warning label on the growler and no interstate activity. It is NOT legal for a retailer to sell a growler to patrons.
